I too, would do outline quilting, but I would use the red thread on top and match the backing with my bobbin thread. It's a great quilt. Have fun doing it, that's the main thing.

Match your threads to your fabric. On the white, I would stitch 1/4" around your "person", echoing that until you reach the seams of each block. Do straight lines the length of your red and blue borders the do "piano keys" on the yellow border. Al straight lines, easily done with a walking foot. It will look awesome! Using yellow thread, stitch in the ditch around your "person" and leave the rest of it unquilted - it will look like trapunto with all the rest of the quilt quilted!
