My sweet hubby is always so supportive of my quilting habit, but his support really got pushed almost to the brink today. I called him to check on our dinner arrangements and he said "Sometimes this quilting habit of yours can really be a pain!" I was shocked (cause I know he has been hitting quilt and fabric shops Christmas shopping) and said, "Why???????" He went on to relate that he had been having a weird stabbing pain in his mid back all day when he would stretch or bend over.....finally after a especially painful stab, he investigated and....Yep! You got it! Once of my quilting needles (threaded, no less) was woven into his flannel shirt!
He seemed to think that the fact that it was threaded, only added insult to injury, saying "...and I had to un-thread the thing to get it out of my shirt!"
Poor, sweet man! rotflmbo

How funny!! But I am amazed that he has been hitting quilt shops to buy your Christmas. I don't think my husband has ever been in a fabric store. But, now that I think about it, maybe that is good so he won't see prices!!

Thanks Sharon,

He has recovered completely, and is now enjoying his Quilting "war" story! ;-)

For Christmas I bought him a t-shirt that says:

"She quilts, I cook!"

I think he will wear it a lot!! Especially when we go on vacation and hit all the quilt stores!

Hahahah. I always warn the bf to be careful when he walks on the floor... not my fault if he steps on a stray needle! Glad your husband survived

He sounds like a great hubby to go shopping in a quilt store and the needle in the shirt he held his temper it sounds like. Mine has found several with his feet, he's usually pretty easy going until that happens.
