    When you cut the hoop, slide a dowel of the right diameter inside the hoop to join the two ends together. If you get one tight enough, you won't have to glue and can talke it apart to change quilts or wash them without having to store a bunch of cumbersome hoops and no headaches.

    Thank you for the suggestions :oops: I didn't think about epoxy next to fabric :oops: Leaving the end cut or using the wood dowel would be so much easier, too. :D

    Just one more thought, instead of making a curved sleeve, what about a few well placed around the quilt with velcro. That way no cutting needed. I am thinking as I type, and lord knows that not healthy. I am confident someone could be more precise that my vague discription. :roll:

    Because of the curve in the hula hoop you might want to just use Duct tape to reconnect it. I think it would hold just fine. Ok...so there's my 2 cents worth. :-)
