    Default Hunting for block name.

Could anyone help with the name of this quilt block? These are the only pictures I have. I'd be very appreciative!

This looks to me like a block that they added tringles to the corner squares to make a pinwheel effect when the blocks were joined. I can't remember the name of that block to save my life! I think it has bird in the name though.

A friend sent me the pictures wondering if I knew. I was hoping someone here would know. I've only seen these pictures too.

I've never seen that block. I wonder if the best way to put it together would be English paper piecing.

I have looked all through EQ and some of the Kansas City Star blocks and cannot find it. I will be curious to know what the name is. I hope someone can come through for you.

definitely old and handpieced..... I do "see" a kaleidoscope block with sashings that could be redrawn to make it doable by machine. (kind of like how the Storm at Sea pattern fits together) But I suspect the original came from one of the ones that was a pattern in a newspaper many years ago.
