I have this machine and it came with free classes. I have purchased several Husqvarna Sewing Machine and never had to pay for a class. I'd check on this to.

I have a Sapphire 875Q - it was my first computerized machine - I was clueless when I bought it - I was afraid of it - afraid I was going to break it. I was offered free classes - but I didn't go - because I live so far away. Anyway, I just started sewing with it - consult the manual when I didn't know and now I love it. I can't believe the machine costs 3000.00 - mine was about 1700 - that was brand new last year. Good luck - and don't be scared to try it - just do a straight stitch until you are comfortable.

I have the 830 without embroidery.
It is not that hard to learn.
There are websites that sell instruction books for all kinds of machines.

I would be calling Viking about that problem. To much money and no classes. Barb
