It is similar to a card trick type design, only it was done with long triangles....??? I had the pattern bookmarked and I lost all of my bookmarks when I updated to the "new and improved" yahoo mail!
Anyone know the design? Thanks...Donna

Sorry, can't help with the pattern, but did you know you can create a bookmark right on this website? just look above the orignal poster's avatar. Your PC can die and you will still have your book marks! (just hope the server doesn't crash)

No..that's not it, but thank you for trying. Try to picture a pinwheel type thing, only with elongated triangles...if that makes any sense??
Yes..I do know about the bookmark feature here, but this was in my IE bookmarks..Donna

I found it!! I had saved a picture of it in my pictures files...now to find a pattern!

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_m8qtGRJX58...600/Laced+Star,+FriendShip+Star,+Card+Trick+Variation.JPG

it's the top block in the picture....if I remember correctly this was never a quilt, it was in a contest for painting blocks on barns or something like that...
it has a very distinct amish look to me...i wanted to make it as a large one block quilt, then quilt it heavily...

The block is called Interlaced Star. It's on Quilter's Cache as Laced Star, a paper pieced block, and is quite easy to draft in any size.
