That is fabulous! I received a box of scraps from a QB member also, and having the best time making charity quilts from the goodies. So much fun!

I think this is awesome and I think it is great you are thanking the lady/guy in public! I know most people on the QB are great people, sometimes you find one that isn't but all the great ones make up for it!

It is so nice to read posts like this one. I can imagine how much fun you are having with your new box of goodies. I know I sure would be. Really warms the heart. Yes, manners are certainly falling by the wayside. That is one of my pet peeves. People that can't say "thank you" will not receive anything from me. I drilled manners into my kids when they were small & they automatically done the same with their kids. They live what they learn most of the time. Anyway it is great to see a great post like this. We need more kindness in this world. We have a great board here don't we?

It puts a smile on my face to know that people can be so wonderful. I have been on the receiving end of boxes in the mail. I have also been able to give to others a couple of times.

I also sent several magazines to someone on this board. I don't even remember who it was, but never received any thanks or acknowledgement for them. I even paid the postage. Good manners are a thing of the past, I'm afraid. Don't let that stop you, if it makes you feel better to help someone out.

What a wonderful gift to receive from another QB member. I have made some very special friends on the QB, as well as learning a lot just going through the QB each day. It's like having an online Quilt Guild. One thing I have learned over the years is that quilters are wonderful people, willing to give help wherever and whenever needed, as well as a big support network of like minded people, both men and woman. Quilters Rock.

This kind of thing happens often here on the board, and all anyone ever seems to ask is that we pay it forward. I love this board
