I can't believe...

Thanks for all the good healing thoughts. At my wound check, dr. says it is healing nicely and the stitches will come out next friday. Still haven't had the heart to go into the sewing room and check out the carpet. My daughter tried her best to get the blood stains out but says it still is pretty bad. Oh well, I did save my fabric.

Wow sounds like a good size cut. Happy the cat did not get hurt. It was time for new carpet any way or their are companies in my area that clean up blood. On a happier note now you can learn how to use your other foot to control your machine become a multi footed sewer ;~) hehe. Get better soon.

I have a cheap fiskars 45mm. It can cut you guarded if you bump it wrong. My kids (16 to 10) are not even allowed to touch it. I am careful to always guard it after each cut. But, I cut myself washing dishes (glass broke with my hand in it) and can't sew. It has taken almost four weeks to be able to type. My skin is healed, but I cut something off my knuckle inside (cartilage?) and am looking at four to six more weeks. I have sensation and dexterity, but using my hand makes it hurt inside. If I'd cut myself quilting, I'd feel better about not being able to quilt!! argh . . .
Terrible about your carpet . . . On clothes, peroxide will (help) remove blood. Sweet of your daughter to try to clean it for you!
Good luck!

Hi, sorry to hear about your accident. Hope you heal real soon.
I fell once and bled all over my brand new carpet. I said I didn't
want to go to the hospital with blood on my carpet. One of the
EMS gals told my daughters to pour peroxide on it and then
clean it up right away. When I got home from the hospital later
that night, it was like new again. Just thought I'd let you know.
Since then, I've used it on dried blood and it worked. Cheaper
then new carpet LOL. Unless you need new carpet??? Then
you have a good excuse!! Hugs, Sharon
