Default I can't decide. Need some help

I am making a quilt for my brother and his wife. Guess this is what I get for starting with a stash fabric that is about 3 years old, but I need a second complimentary square and cannot find fabric with the correct color shades. So the dilemma is, should I use the same large print for the focus fabric, with different borders, or use the second focus fabric for the alternate squares. I cannot decide. One day I like the blue to bring out the tiny blue branches in the original print, the next I think the combination is too busy.
The light gray will be sashing between square, then there is a 9"wide dark gray print strip between the rows.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

I don't have any suggestions, just wondered what this pattern was called. I like it.

I like the first pic. The blue seems to catch too much attention and draws my eye away from the prints.

I like the green print with the black, the bottom pic in the last strip.
I am having this problem too.The newer shades are different than the older ones.I plan to make scrappy quilts when I can't a good match.

I really like the first picture. I think the blue pops and the fabric print is very nice.

I agree about the blue ... perhaps if you used a medium grey in the small squares of the darker focus fabric it will tie them all together.

I like the green, the blue is a little too bold. My opinion only.
