Well, I did it. I bought a new quilting machine! I bought a Janome 6600P. I have been trying to quilt on a sewing/embroidery machine but was having trouble with the small throat.... I was beginning to get agitated. I was wondering who has one who would give me some pointers on using it? I want to learn to do free motion quilting sooooo bad. I was thinking about the Janome Horizon 7700 but after I saw it, for me it is just too big and too pricey. I will never free motion quilt a big quilt.

I have a Singer Slant-o-matic 403 in a cabinet I will have to sell. Anyone interested? You would have to come here to see and buy. I don't even know how much to ask for it. Thanks for listening!

Congratulatons on your purchase. If the new machine is only your second machine, I'd keep the 401 for back-up or for the child in your picture to grow in to. Even if you have to take the machine out of the cabinet, though it can be used as a desk, I'd hang onto it.

If I were you, I would keep the 403. When you have to take your new one in for repairs, you will be very sorry you don't have the 403. Congratulations on the new one. And hope you never have any trouble with it.

Congratulations--You are going to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! My daughter got the same machine this summer and I got to try it out. What a fantastic machine it is!!!

Wish you were closer; I'd take that 403 off your hands in a heartbeat.
