Default I did not my machine did that!

Reading the manual (duh) i learned that my Janome 3050 has the capability to drop the feed dog! I always forget how to adjust stitch length and width so I decided to read the manual to refresh my memory or lack there of. I was happy to read about the feed dog. Silly me...I purchased this machine i 2007! I mostly piece on it . Always learning!

I'm with you! reading the manual on my long arm to figure out how to change out a switch and read about how to get single stitches (like for starts/stops)--duh! Not like I couldn't have used that info for the last 3 years.

I just read my Bernina manual again and was surprised at some info that I didn't know I had.

It's amazing what we learn after we've had a machine for a multiple number of days x months x years. Giggle!

Yep mine is always withing reach. Altho I've had my Pfaff 5.0 almost a year now, I still have to refer to the manual for anything beyond the basics.

I have the same model. I truly love that machine. Did you know that you can shift the needle too? That was my revelation years after I bought it.

No i did NOT!! I also read that I can set needle down/up! I get curious by comparing my 3950 to newer models in the Janome line....same size...and my 3050 beats them all. Smart of me to have bought it. Now...to look at shifting the needle function.

Glad you're learning more about your machine's functions.

I do refer to my manual when I do something other than my regular stuff......still learning!
