Make sure if you buy fabric from BF, you buy it IN the store, not online.
Some of the fabric they get has "mistakes" in it. One of the reasons why it is sometimes cheaper. I buy most of my fabric from there because that is mainly all I have here. When I buy, I usually lay the piece out I am wanting and check it thoroughly.

Try this page for Mary Ellen's Best Press by the gallon:

http://www.benfranklincrafts.com/servlet/Categories

Then in the search window, type in Mary Ellens Best Press -- I thought it would let me give you the correct page but it's being stubborn.... :D

I haven't used Best Press yet, but while ordering some books from Amazon, I looked there, and they had it for under $30, plus around $7 shipping. It ships from JoAnn, so didn't qualify for free super saver shipping.

FYI - I was in BF in Sandpoint, ID and the one in Oldtown ID (right on WA border) last week. They both had beautiful fabric. The sales lady told me they are all independently owned now so they can buy the fabric THEY want not just stuff sent from "headquarters" (like Wal-Mart). I bot some lovely flat folds for $3.95 to $4.50/yd. There is also a great BIG one in Monroe, WA. Have fun quilting......
