It was either laugh or cry....but it was pretty funny.

Last night I'm getting the hubby ready for a business trip. Needed to iron his clothes, so got them ironed and packed up. Went back to put my big ironing board down. When I did, I accidentally knocked my iron on the ground. It came back up in three pieces!

I started laughing and went to show the husband. His response?

"Well, I don't guess you need to run out and buy one of those tomorrow seeing as you don't use it much!"

In his opinion, apparently, irons are ONLY for ironing clothes, something I do very rarely.

I very politely brought him into my sewing room and showed him the many quilt blocks I have strewn everywhere. I told him that every piece that was sewn together had to be ironed. He still doesn't get it.

LOL, sorry to laugh, but it is funny to us quilters. Maybe some day he'll get it. Looks like you'll be shopping for a new iron today. Kohl's has great prices on irons when they go on sale.

I'll have to watch their ads. My Rowenta iron is on its last legs. It's been used constantly for years so I can't complain.

I got my Rowenta iron there for 40 something dollars on sale and with a coupon. This is the one I got. It's on sale for more than $60 now, but if you have a coupon and can save more % off, that would obviously be better.

That is funny! I would panic if this iron hit the floor, that's exactly how my last one died, and it marked up my new wood floor pretty good too. This one is a Rowenta I picked it up at the 2nd hand store for a couple bucks, if an iron can be fantastic, this one is.

When I left the Marine Corps I promised to never iron again. Was going to use my iron for a door stop. Guess the laughs on me now.
