My husband came home Wednesday from a swap meet with a 1951 featherweight in beautiful shape. Came with original oil can, grease, attachments and extra bobbins and needles. It looked clean at first until I got into it and cleaned out all the lint and oiled it up. The motor sounded sluggish so after the oil it purrs like a kitten. Tweeked the bobbin tension (it was way too tight) and now the stitches are perfect. I am so excited! But that isn't all. He came home today from the same swap meet and brought home a singer treadle base. Says he is going to make it into a table so my featherweight has a place to sit. What a sweety!
