I am looking to do the same, Heather. Congrats and enjoy your new quilting family at guild.

I see that you are from NW PA. Me too! Where are you from? I am near the Clarion area.

Enjoy your guild! The one you joined sounds like it is a good size! It should be fun and you will be able to hook up with some quilting buddies!

There was actually a guild near me that just started. We have only had 2 meetings but we have had over 30 people at each one!! I am very excited about it!

Good for you. I am thinking about joining a guild that is very close to my house. It's a large guild - 260 members. My only problem is that I still work full time, I'm active in church, we go to the lake at least twice a month, and I have my own quilting projects that I do so.....if they want everyone to give up a lot of time I'm not who they want. If they just want me to do what I can when I can, I'll join. I've only been once but I'm planning on visiting next month and I'll make my decision then. I really hope you enjoy your guild and make some new quilty friends.

That's great, I love my "other" guild. I hope you really enjoy it. The dues are very reasonable, I pay 25 a year, but, it is more than worth it. You'll learn loads, it's kind of an osmosis thingy, you just absorb all their info. lol
