Hearing all the Pfaff fans makes me get more exited. I didn't have time to sit and sew. Now I am thinking. Will I use my new 2170 to quilt or should I just continue using my Tiptronic 2030 which I love.
My dealer is great; first thing she told me was that with this machine you do have to have some skills with the computer because the designs need to be downloaded to your computer and then through the serial cable to the machine. She also wants me and anybody that goes to her shop to enjoy the machine and not get frustrated so she is there for us all the way.
Next Saturday I'll go for my 1 on 1 teaching class and she told me: "don't buy any designs" I have a lot to share with you. I hope she means it. Cannot wait to start using it.

Somebody asked about the Cover Style. I love it. For more than 1 yr I had it and barely used it. Now I put it in a workable space and I wish I had more projects to use it. It so fast and the seams come up so nice!
I wish I knew how to thread by heart because I seem to spend too much time wiht the manual before I am ready to sew but I know it is about practice.

The Creative Vision is the next step but we are talking serious money. My dealer is having a contest, who comes close to guess how many buttons in a jar she has on display wins the Creative Vision $9999.00- I will win!!!!

Can you tell I am a Pfaff lover?
Now I am going to try it! It comes with free owner classes for life (once a month) and some personalized classes. My dealer here is Cynthia at Cynthia Fine Fabrics in Tamarac, FL. I love her Customer Service and dedication to her clients. Her support makes the difference!
What do you have to say about this machine? Other fanatics?
I bought mine 2 yrs ago - used it to embroider/quilt My Dear Jane Christmas Quilt (that's the name of the thread I posted). I downloaded the manual from the Pfaff site - it's better than the manual that came with the machine. I think you can probably still find it at the www.pfaffusa.com site.

For all the other ordinary sewing it is great.
Do you have a PC? Pfaffs only talk to PC, so if you have a Mac, that's the problem.

I bought this machine about 9 months ago and haven't even gotten around to the embroidery unit yet! I am having so much fun with the "needle down" feature and doing basic piecing with it. I have been trying to expand into free motion quilting on smaller projects--but just don't have the hang of it yet

This is what happened to me. I brought the machine Saturday, unpacked it and put it on a small table in my sewing room... from Sat to Wed I stared at it without even turning it on... one day I spoke with my sis and she asked me about my new machine and I told her I was kind of frozen and wouldn't sew... well, Thursday turned it on and try straight stitch, cut thread, simple stuff. Saturday I went back to the dealer to take a class and we embroider a poinsettia that came with the machine. After that, back home, I just play on a piece of fabric some of the decorative stitches. Today I am trying to install the software in my compu so I can look for some Christmas designs for towells I wanted to make. Frustrated now because I don't get o make the software to work.
Overall I am sure I have a great machine but for sure I have to spend hours on it to learned it.

I know you will love it. I bought my 2141 about 7 years ago and would not trade it for the world. I hardly ever use the embroidery module, but one of these days I will get around to it.
