I just hit the mother lode

I went to pick up a prescription for my OAO and stopped by this shop not too far from us called Art Smart, donated items for crafty stuff. Well, I went over to the old cardboard barrels and grabbed up two one gallon plastic bags with enough fabric to use for backing on two quilts (double) and in another 2 gallon bag was rolled up fabric. I offered the woman $5.00 for all of it and she said "Sure!" So I came home. You could have knocked me over with a feather -- I counted 51 and I repeat FIFTY-ONE fat quarters - Benartex - by Carol Endres. I am so excited. Then there were squares 5" and strips about 4-5" maybe 2-1/2' long, all colors, solid. But the fat quarters are adorable - Angels, batik, farm scenes, trees, stars, plaids, stripes, you name it! Best day in a long time! So now I know how all of you that found something so precious as this feels. Hoo-Yah!!!!! Edie

Wow, what a find. That just does not happen here in my neck of the woods. Great find. Thank you for sharing this good fortune.
Desiderata (Max Ehrmann) - Walk placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
