I love my fabric store :o)
#1
I drive 30 min each way to go to my fabric store. There's one 10 minutes away from me, but I always go the distance to my store...and today made me realize why I love it!
I was shopping today for fabric for a quilt for my in laws for Christmas. I knew what I was looking for, and though it was pricy fabric ($13/m), I'm not going to skimp on it, and being a member, I save 25%, so it could have been worse. lol. When I brought it to the counter to be cut, the lady told me there was a member's sale coming up next week - 50% off ALL regularly priced everything! Not just fabric - batting, tools and supplies and such too! Sooo...I didn't get the fabric to start my IL's quilt, but I'm going to save a whole lot of money...(and probably spend it on other stuff, I need a bigger cutting mat and ruler) next week!
In the mean time, I picked up a few coordinating FQ's (which I always get 50% off the price) and DD and I are going to work on a quilt for her - she's 5 and has been asking a million questions and wanting to help me while I sew, so I'm going to teach her how...or at least let her be a bit more interactive in the helping with something that's not my first "baby" LOL
