I just finished this wall quilt and I didnt have good instructions, or I didnt use common sense. I cut out the cat and tail in two pieces and glued to quilt tucking tail under the cats body. When I went to sew to quilt I noticed that where the two pieces met was very noticeable. Well my question is should I zig zag over it or not. thanks for any advice.

I couldn't tell either. It's a cute wall hanging. You would have had to have a very large piece of fabric to cut the cat in one piece. I wouldn't worry about it.

I agree. I can't see it in the picture.

just a crazy thought....what about cutting the rest of the tail out of one of the other fabrics and applique into the border. Folks would think you so creative.

If nothing else is zigged, I wouldn't zag the tail. However, if the background shows through, you can use a fabric marker to darken the spot.

You can do a little thread painting on the cat's body and tail and disguise it like that. Here's a shot of some I did.
