I've just finished my batik quilt and I'm wondering how to hand quilt it. With the different blocks I'm not sure how to quilt it.
I had trouble getting the all of the quilt in the picture.
Thanks for looking.

That is a stunning quilt!! I am one of the more "old-fashioned" types, as I would probably go about 1/8" away from each seam and do a straight stitch around them all...I can hear the loud "ughs" already... :-) I just love the way that outline quilting makes a quilt look...and the intricate designs of yours should definitely be showcased! And, those lovely batiks need to be seen, too... I can't call it stitch in ditch, or 1/4" quilting, as I think sid is too close, and 1/4" is too far, hence 1/8"...lol...ah well, that is why we all are unique, eh?..
Good luck, and I know there will be others along who will have lots of great quilting ideas for you!!
Kif
PS Now on the borders, I think a design that picks up designs in your quilt would be lovely...

It really is beautiful! Would love to see when it is completed, I am still in the hand quilting practice phase.
