    I need some ideas

I'm ready to quilt a project somewhat like the Yellow Brick Road pattern, just a different name. For the life of me I can't think up a design to quilt. It must be SIMPLE since my skills in this department are lacking.

Can anyone give me some ideas and, even better, links to some easy quilting ideas?

If you want to keep the straight lines as emphasis then maybe you can just quilt a line through the middle of each strip.

If you want to soften the straightness then choose a curving design such as a meander or a wandering vine and do an occasional shape such as a leaf, heart, star. Choose a theme from your fabric.

I picture helps to make comments as there may be something the shows up to give us ideas.

    You could crosshatch it.

I think I would do a meandering pattern with leaves or what-have-you, or anything with curved shapes to break up the angles and straight lines.

    How about a simple clamshell?
