I just noticed a class on the craftsy website called "stabilizer savvy". It looks like, from the class description, it covers different types of stabilizers. This might be helpful. And, slbram17 said craftsy has an all access month for October--May be worth checking out!

This is also a good reference site for fusibles, interfacings and stabilizers. I'm posting separate links to each page, but you can easily get from one to the other without leaving the site.

There have been a number of posts on Pinterest explaining the different types of stabilizer. I've Pinned several of them because I'm planning to get an embroidery machine soon, and I wanted to be prepared.
Good luck.
Good luck.

You need something with a lot of stiffness to make bins or boxes of any kind. I use Pellon 70, 71 or 72.
I believe those are the numbers. One has glue to one side an one has it on both sides an one has
no glue on either side. Those are the ones I use to make my purses with.
