I have a chance to buy a Nechhi Sewing Machine with cabinet for $25.00. I know it's cheap but no point in paying for something that isn't any good. The owner says it works. Should I buy it? The pic of it is really blurry.... Thanks as always for your input......

Are you able to try it out for yourself?

Necchis used to be considered "good" machines.

Have one from the 60's with all the cams. Is a workhorse. Like previous ans.....try it out. Have seen great buys on every make out there.....till you examine them and try them out. If this isn't the one you should get there will be more. :-D

I just bought one for $50.00 Billy (Lostin51) advised me that it is the "Ferreri" of all sewing machines, I have not used mine yet as it needs to be re-wired, but as soon as I get it re-wired, I plan to use it to it's full potential. I love a smooth driving "work horse"

I thought I had read on here somewhere that this was a good machine, I'll show you the pic, but it's really blurry....I will try it first, I figure the cabinet is probably worth the 25.00 and it's not far from where I live. I'll let you know if I decide to buy it. Thanks so much for your help.

If the cabinet is in good shape, it's worth the price just for the cabinet. Necchi machines are supposed to be a very good machine.

I have a Necchi, not an antique like that beauty, but I love mine, smooth operating, quiet, just keeps going, and going....

I've been eyeballing one at Lehman's too. It's a brand new up to date treadle. The price tag is a little (lot) out of my price range though.
