I like them both, but #2 is what I would pick. I agree the fabric is very calming. Good job! He'll love it.

As soon as I saw the photo I thought how pretty the fabric looked! I love the first layout best for me.. both are fine.

I definitly like #2. Don't know why, but I don't care much for designs that form "zig-zags." I happen to love your fabric selections. Very, very pretty.

I love your fabric choices. They are neutral and I think either layout is lovely. I guess I prefer #2 but he is lucky to receive either one.

I won't give you a choice of which layout to use....because both are great!

Your color choices are good too. I'm betting he'll LOVE the quilt no matter the fabric or layout choices you make.
