Default I never had worked with miniatures much before . .

I was asked to make a mattress and quilt to fit a little crib 17"X36". This lady's mother slept in the crib when she was three years old. The mother recently passed away, and the daughter now has the crib. In memory of her mother (and to display one of her mother's antique dolls), I was asked to make the mattress and quilt. The lady sent me a picture of a quilt that she liked, so I drew up the pattern in EQ and made the quilt for her. I had never worked much with such small pieces before. The small squares are 1" finished. It was a practice in precision for me, and it's not perfect. But the lady was very pleased with the end result. It is hand quilted. The lady chose and purchased all the fabrics.

Great work! And I love the fabric that was choosen. Perfect in that it reminds me of older quilts.

It's adorable, I would love to see it in the cradle.

Welcome to the land of miniature making! You have done a wonderful job of it. Next you will be thinking--what if I made a 1" HST or what if I used a 1" cut for a 1/2" square and you will be off and running
