I'm soooo excited!
I totally killed my sewing machine yesterday afternoon -well actually it just died by itself- and I've been going crazy trying to figure out what's wrong with it, where to have it serviced where it won't cost me the eyes right out of my head. Finally found a place that will do a servicing on it for 60 bucks and then they'll let me know what's wrong with it and how much it will cost to fix.
In the mean time, I managed to sweet talk my way into getting a new machine. It was a pain in the butt to do, but it's ordered and will arrive on Saturday afternoon!!! I have no machine until then but I'll survive... I think.
This is my old machine:
kenmore 1774 bought in the early '70s

I'm DYING to start sewing again. I mean, I've gone several days without touching my sewing before, but by choice. Now that I want to work on my stuff I CAN'T. Freakin' frustrating! Oh well, 5 more days.

You did make the address for the new machine to go to in PA? Right? he he.
Congrats on the new machine, the old one is just tired. It will be as good as new in no time. Looks like Christmas comes in February.
