I really like sharp, sharp fine pins................

except that I poke myself with them. Today was one of those days where I seemed to be doing it constantly while paper piecing. My poor finger tips are sore! Does anyone else relate to this?

Maybe switch to fabric glue stick? Haven't tried it for paper piecing, but have seen it mentioned. I've used it for other things, and I'm sure it would work. A little dab will do. Avoid getting it on your hands or it will drive you nuts until you hop up and wash it off.

I'm not sure how you're using pins while paper piecing. I only use them when sewing two units together. And I do prick myself occasionally then. At least it's not as bad as a sewing machine needle through a finger!

I hate pin pricks! I have started putting a Pinmoor on the end of every straight pin I use. No more pricks ever. It stays on until I take it off. I love Pinmoors. http://www.pinmoor.com/ I had DH cut some in half lengthwise to lay flat for smaller sewing pieces.
    Got fabric?
