Default I think I am getting a treadle machine!

I was talking to a girl at work about wanting a treadle machine with a cabinet and she asked if I wanted to buy the one she has. She is asking $75 for the cabinet and machine. I'm pretty excited. Now to find a place for it!

If it doesn't work my Dad can fix it. He's a pretty good mechanic.

That is wonderful. Better get it before someone else does. Enjoy your new toy.

I learned how to sew using my Grandmother's treadle machine. I gave it to my oldest DD. She uses it for a side table and it hasn't been used to sew in decades. But the treadle is used by every kid that finds out it's a see saw for their feet. Belt off of course. LOL.

I learned to sew on a treadle, after playing with the treadle pedal for awhile. I have an old Singer made in the 20s that my grandmother got when Mom was born. She taught Mom to sew on it, and she taught me to sew on it. The cabinet needs some work, but the machine itself is awesome. I wouldn't trade this old (heavy) thing for anything.

You'll enjoy it! I have three, but I'm going to convert one of them to a hand crank. Have fun!

You will ALWAYS find a place for a precious treadle machine. Share pics when she arrives home.

I have one I got for free. My friend's mother died and the church had an estate sale. No one wanted the treadle. So, they gave it to me. I still need a bobbin.

I have my TV and VCR/DVD player on it in the kitchen.
