Default Brother PE 770 emb. Machine comments please

Does anyone have this machine? I'm trying to decide between the Brother machine or a Bernette 340. Any help would be appreciated. I don't have any experience with embroidery. Thanks so much...Dianna

I don't have any personal experience with it, but from what I've read the people who have it like it. I'm looking at this machine too and look forward to seeing what people have to say.

I have the PE 770ii and I love it. I've only used it a few times but have had no problems. Haven't tried downloading patterns from the internet yet. But the built in patterns work up great.

I would get the PE770. I have one and it is a really good machine for the price.
It's easy to use, you can download tons of designs and put them on a flash drive, then plug it into the machine.
I bought extra hoops, it comes with a 5x7 hoop. I and an extra 5x7 (most common on I use so this comes in handy having two), and a 12x5 one.
I bought mine from Joe at this store...

Customer service is wonderful, he answered all my questions before I decided to buy.

Don't have the PE-700 but my brother embroidery machine does a lovely job and is very user friendly. I haven't heard too many things about the bernettes, Brother is a very reliable solid product, my choice would be brother

The Bernette is about as close to a Bernina as a dog is to a parakeet.
Go with the Brother.

I have the first embroidery machine that Bernina sold. I paid $1800 for it with my employee discount. It has worked well for me for almost 20 years. I purchased thousands of dollars worth of software for it over the years and I can no longer get replacement hoops for it etc. I purchased the Brother PE78OD last year as it uses the same PES system and can also use patterns on a USB stick. I think I paid a little over $700 for it. It has bigger hoops and seems to work well. Ironically my Bernina machine was created from a Brother patent. Over the years I have used my embroidery machines a lot. I like the idea that I can have something running on the embroidery machine while I am sewing on my regular machine at the same time. Being able to load the designs into the machine from a USB stick elimantes the need for a Magic Box.
