Might be nice for the kids, get them to know their states. Definitly different than your average kid's quilt.

cute idea, thanks for sharing with us and would be cute to put a thumb tack in each state you have visited

And, yes, I think it's a great idea for a kid's room.

Because thinking there are 52 instead of 50......that ain't as rare as one would think. And that scares me. A lot.

My GF put a map of the US on the wall using carpet pieces. It was huge.

Not to change the subject but did she really think there were 52 states until she was 22 years old? I'm slightly horrified.

That would be fun! In my case I have traveled through or lived in all of the states except for Maine, and other upper New England states.

Can also use a Cricut and cut the states with the STATES cartridge. For my Cub Scouts I cut out a set of states for each of them. They worked with their parents (some had more trouble with this than others) and glued down the states to construction paper. Then I laminated - VIOLA - colorful USA placemats.

Fun, easy and educational!
