I had made a quilt for a woman I have worked with for 12 years. I posted it here on 8/29 when I finished it.

http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-148846-1.htm

The wedding was 9/3. When she returned from their honeymoon, she thanked me for "the pretty quilt," and asked if I had made it. She said that her husband liked it. That was it. I thought "oh, well, quilts aren't everybody's thing." And let it go at that. Well, today she came to work raving about how beautiful the quilt is in their bedroom! She said she changed out her summer bedding and when she spread my quilt on her bed, it just lit up the room! It is perfect and they love it! Her daughters fell in love with it too. Then she asked if I still make handbags and totes (I do) because she and her daughters want some and she is willing to pay me whatever for them.
Happy ending.

Maybe she was too involved in the wedding, honeymoon and adjustment to being married. Nice reaction even though it was a little slow.

I went back to check your posting with the quilt picture. Love it - - it is definitely bright and cherry. So happy that she finally expressed her true happiness with the wonderful gift that you made for them.

Maybe it just took a little time to realize what a treasure she had. You did a beautiful job on the quilt and if she had not liked it, it would have been her loss.

Isn't it nice to know someone loves what you gave them. It's a really bright cheery quilt. I would love it!
