what is the easiest pattern to start with? any suggestions?

I don't want too difficult because I will get discouraged.

You will love it!! i does get addicting. It is easy once you get it started. The hardest part is making sure you cut the scrap big enough.

I love PPing! Don't get discouraged your first time out of the gate. It can be confusing, trying to place the fabrics correctly and making sure you are sewing on the correct side of the block. I am no expert by any means but I have done a few and I still screw it up sometimes. But I do that with piece quilting too!

I have a kit for a wall hanging of irises and it's paper pieced. Need to bet brave and make it.

I used caroldoak.com she has some great free patterns, I started with the mariners compass for my 1st, took me abit to get used to working with my fabric upside down and make sure you have 1/4 inch over on all sides. and you will do fine. enjoy it

ONce you get the hang of it Paperpiecing is lots of fun Just dont get to discouraged the first time you try it I love it I must say it is my favorite way to put together a quilt and the easiest way to do small quilt especially

Paper piecing made no sense to me until I found this tutorial - this lady made it soooo easy - like an 'oh duh moment'....

and I've done a NY beauty just since I found the tutorial!
