Does anyone know how to use their strips of left over quilting fabric to crochet a rug? I am a beginner quilter and crocheter. I make my afagans by granny square pattern. Can anyone give instructions to make a rug using your leftover fabric? sss

I have seen them. Looks like you just do a single crochet in a circle with uniform stirps of fabric. You would need to mark probably 3 places to do increases in your round to get it to lay flat. Good luck! I would check at about.com they have lots of free patterns.
