Thread: I would like some border help please

Your quilt is lovely!!! I am for the red, gold with green binding... soooooo pretty!!!

I vote for the gold with green binding. Beautiful quilt!

I think the red border makes it very holiday ish. While the gold and green don't. But I do like either of them. Either one would be pretty.

I like the gold border with the green binding. A very nice quilt, it is.

There is something distracting with the gold border, maybe it is just me but I rarely use a light border in the framing of the quilt. So if you don't need it for size, I would not add the gold, just get it quilted and put on the green binding. You did make a marvelous selection with your Xmas fabrics.

I think like you do MQ2. I tend to shy away from the lighter borders. Any of your choices would be fine...I like the idea of a gold border added but the one you have selected looks washed out and doesn't do justice to your beautiful quilt! You have some deeper, richer golds in your quilt and I bet if you chose a richer gold it would be stunning! JMHO of course.
