There is something distracting with the gold border, maybe it is just me but I rarely use a light border in the framing of the quilt. So if you don't need it for size, I would not add the gold, just get it quilted and put on the green binding. You did make a marvelous selection with your Xmas fabrics.

Beautiful quilt! I think either of your choices would work well. The red border looks just perfect, and both the gold and green....and the just green... look good too. I know, no help at all.
