and I feel aweful. I bought a Viking 60 20 at a thrift sale and while trying to "unstick" the dials, I broke a pin that appears vital to the machine's ever sewing another stitch. The cam's stuck, the dials are stuck, and I'm so sad to admit that the old girl is fatally wounded. When I bought her, she sewed beautifully, but only a straight stitch, and she had a soft smooth purr that I LOVED. Now she doesn't even do that. I should have been happy with that perfect straight stitch and left her alone. Now what do I do with her "remains"? I can't take her to Goodwill because she isn't working, but I can't stand the idea of throwing her away. I'm not an ebay seller, or I could at least salvage her best parts. Tears.... :cry:

I wouldn't know where to begin if I were to consult someone with sewing machine wisdom. Two of the three dials were stuck, and because they were stuck, I couldn't remove the cam. If I can't remove the cam, then I can't take off the back panel to try to free the dials. It's a catch 22.

I have a husqvarna SL 2000..... for about 45 years now and mine has the same problem...only stitch i have now is straight...gear seized...apparently it can`t be fixed...thy don`t make parts anymore....wondering if it is the same problem...
