I went with
Honey bee , and Grandmother flower garden.

Don't look to close I am not a painter. I understand how to post one picture at a time. so will post closer pictures in another post.
These are upscale bees, for sure! Wonderful job!

How fun! I first thought you were working some kind of appliqué or piecing pattern on cotton. This is such a fun idea! Do you have different types of bees in each one (or does the queen stay in just one of the hives?) or is it purely for decoration?

I have a few friends with hives and thought this might make a nice hostess gift for them sometime instead of the usual boring stuff.

What a great idea & such a good job that you did on your hives. I would have never thought of doing something like that! Happy bees produce more honey!!!

Bree123, honey bees. one queen goes in each box. with 3 pounds of helper ( worker) bees
3 pounds equal roughly 4500 bees.
the quilt blocks are for decoration, and log book ID. Instead of writing in hive 1 or hive 2.
5 inch squares work out great for these size . these are then attached to the hive.
