Could some of you post pictures of EASY quilts you have made for hubby using John Deere fabrics? My DH asked me today where his quilt was. I just finished one for our granddaughter so guess he should be next on my long list of "to do quilts". I've had fabric for almost a year but seem to make other things instead of his.

Just completed a top the other day for a charity event, posted in a different tread, don'tsee why it can't go here also. Backing to be Green weave looking from Hobby Lobby.

If you're going to the trouble to use John Deere fabrics, to me the pattern should showcase that.
I would make 8" blocks of the JD fabric, and sash them with a narrow yellow strip.
Then use green sashing between the blocks and for the border.

Guess I better try taking a picture of my fabrics tomorrow so you can give me better ideas. I can do 9-patches and blocks but haven't tried much other than rectangles and half sq triangles. I'm still learning you see.

Shhh don't tell the border is a corner to corner cut 9 patch. Had way more blenders than JD, tried to match the JD green with a no go, so a lot of fussy cut came into play, the season pieces were not square, so neither could the 9 patches, in the body thats why almost square :)
Clear as mud :)

Agree. You want to fussy cut the pictures. How about something with uneven-sized blocks as in small squares, larger squares and rectangles? Then you could use the pattern/pictures from different fabrics.

Do a rail fence with the print fabric as the wide strip.
