Default Ideas for quilting this?

If this works, I'm attaching a picture of a scrappy little baby quilt I just finished. Please bear in mind that all design decisions were based on using up every scrap and leftover piece of this fabric from another quilt. Anyway, I'm planning on just outline quilting the pinwheel churn dash blocks and quilting baby feet in both the borders. It's the plain, unpieced five inch squares between the churn dash blocks that I can't figure how to quilt and I'd love any ideas you all might have. Thanks a bunch!

You could quilt a pinwheel in each plain block. Or trace the churn dash block and use that as a quilting guide in the plain blocks. Or you could put baby feet in the plain blocks also.

It's a wonderful quilt! Churn dash is one of my favorite blocks, and I hadn't seen it before with a pinwheel in the center. Could you quilt the baby feet in the plain blocks as well as in the borders?

Hand prints to match the baby feet you do in the border.

Pretty quilt!

I'd do an individual flower shaped like the ones in the border. I recently did one like that and echoed the flower so there two lines. It worked out nicely.

Lovely! Isn't it great when you can find a use for all the scraps from another project? My first thought was baby feet. or baby bonnets. I do like the idea of echoing the churn dash and/or pinwheel in quilting in those blocks, however.
