Janome is another machine you can get IDT's on now too I do believe. For years the Pfaff company was the only machine with it on, but since they were sold the patten on the IDT is no longer exclusive to Pfaff.

Great feature and I am another lover of it!

I used to have a foot like that on an industrial machine when I was quilting down filled vests and coats. Very nice addition. Probably not cheap either.

IDT is the main reason we bought our first Pfaff and it would take something major to get us to switch now. We love our Pfaffs!

I saw the video and the Janome 600P has a similar action but you need to change the feet for a special one with which the back clicks onto before sewing.

IDT was the reason I bought my pfaff as well. I love it! It makes a huge difference, to the point where even though I'm not the most aware person, I notice straight away when I've left it off and start straight stitching.

The only con I have is that I could've bought a janome without IDT for the same price or cheaper with more features (such as thread snips, knee lift etc, I have the quilt expression 2.0) but I'd say it's well worth the price.

Well now I feel really silly. My first thought was that it was a secret code like lol or lmao. Then I thought it might be a strange sort of smiley face...:) I even thought it was a quilt square pattern. I even thought of a new birthcontrol method

To discover it is a particular capability of a sewing machine made in Utah...the best machine ever made...I feel really stupid. I see why you call it IDT...try saying Integrated Dual Transportation 3 times really fast.

My machine is a cheap Brother from Walmart. The Pfaff I inherited from my best friend last May still uses a treadle and can't even zigzag...but I'll keep it just the same.
