Two Augusts ago I gave the residents at this assisted living place a one woman quilt show. My daughter helped me out. It was so much fun! One of the ladies even brought in a quilt to show me--one her mother had made. I know I did a post on here of it--with a photo of that quilt. I'll hint it up. I have the week of April 18th off, so the activities person called today and we set it up! They like to buy things--they epscially loved getting potholders for gifts, so I'd better make some up before I go.

Oh--I don't do this because I'm a nice person, I do it because I'm selfish. See, for over an hour I have a room full of grandmothers/mothers ooooing and ahhhhing over my work and listening to my stories.... so don't think it's all for them. :-D

Here's the link from the last one... http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-23966-1.htm

That's great Karla...I remember when you posted those. The ladies had a great time, and so did you. Will you be taking your newest floral?

Oh yes! And my first Bargello will be back from the quilter's the first week of April, so it'll be fun to add those. I plan to make a few doll quilts after the floral B is done. They like the smaller stuff if they want to buy; they was next on my list.

The activities person said there are two quilt classes going, so I told her I'd love for them to bring their work to share.

They are all talking about coming to see the horses. :-D That's always in July.

Oh I won't take pictures this time... neither my daughter nor d-i-l can help, so it may be just me. I'll be too busy to take my camera.

I was hoping someone else would say "Hey! I could do this where I live." Even if two quilters, or a guild took projects to a nursing home or assisted living place...

Karla, if you ask one of the staff to take pics, I'm sure they would. Even if the pics were with an automatic camera, they will be nice.
