I'm so excited!!!

Yesterday, as soon as I left school for the summer, I drove to a quilt shop about 45 minutes away that someone said I should visit. WOW!!! I felt like I couldn't breathe when I walked in because it was so awesome! (Rochester, IL)
Anyway, I am a new quilter and I signed up for a beginners class. It doesn't start for 1 1/2 months, but I did buy the book so I can read it. I have already been quilting, but look forward to learning some new things.
I am so excited and wanted to tell people who understand!

I understand your excitement... especially after a school year. I love the LQS also and am taking a beginning quilt class in July...it is a long wait. In the meantime, I also made a quilt and am reading, reading, reading about quilting. Of course, one book leads to another and so much to learn from this site. Have fun this summer and let us hear about your class.

That is great Deb. That is where my love began.....by taking a class. Now I'm addicted. I look at people's clothing as fabric for a quilt. The different designs on fabric are just so neat put into a block. ;)
Good luck. :) A few things I like to do that get results are these blocks: Tube Block, 10 Minute Block, Twin Sisters, The Turning 20 quilt is one of my favorites. :) That's just to name a few.
Good luck with your class I'm sure it'll be great!
