Does anybody have a Steady Betty -- it is used for pressing blocks. It is supposed to hold your blocks without distorting or stretching them

I don't have a steady Betty but I have four heavy books sitting on something right now.

I have one and love it! It sits right beside my machine and it does grip your block to some degree. I definitely can recommend it!

I have been lusting after one for quite some time now. They're NOT cheap.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Steady Betty, it's a kind of foam that does not melt when heat is applied, and is not slippery, so when you press seams on a block, the block does not move. I've seen the foam made into ironing boards and pressing surfaces in different sizes, and even bands that go around your hands to help you quilt.

I have one and love it. Took me a while to get it because it's not cheap but so glad I finally bought it. Use it all the time.

I got tickled when I saw this topic. I'm a Betty, but not to Steady. giggle

I'm glad I looked in this topic. I didn't know anything about this. Glad for the info and telling about it.
