Default I'm such a proud mom!

My 17 year old daughter came to me this evening and said, "Mom, will you teach me to make a quilt?"

Like I could say no! So she's sitting beside me at the sewing machine that her great, great, grandma used, and is putting together 4 log cabin squares to make a wall hanging with. She cut the strips herself and after I showed her once how to put the squares together, she's doing it herself So proud!!

That is so nice! My daughters are not interested in making quilts at all. They like the results but not the process.

You ARE blessed. I never had anyone (that I knew) in my family that quilted, nor do I forsee new DIL taking to quilting. I envy all of you that come from long line of quilters or have someone to quilt with.

It's always thrilling to hear about the tradition of quilting being passed on to the next generation.
