Default Interesting and wonderful fabric

Look what I found on the sale rack of our local LQS for $2.00 a yard. Michael Miller "Belize Breeze". I have about 2-3/4 yards. I fell in love with it -- just wish the floral bands weren't on the diagonal. Any ideas for quilt patterns that will accent those gorgous flowers? I make lap - throw sized quilts and am hoping this will be enough fabric to "do something" with.

Pretty fabric! Perhaps you could make a table runner centering the design~~

Do you have enough repeats that you could do a "Stack and Whack" Dresden? It ends up looking like kaleidoscopes, and I think that would be super fabric for it.

It's so pretty you could just cut it to a nice size and quilt it.

I agree with Lisa & Pianiacs. You could quilt the different flower shapes and using thread colors pulled from the flowers quilt the blue areas with lines of decorative stitches on the diagonal or FMQ these areas with the different thread colors. Beautiful material! I lived in Belize for a few months doing part of my student teaching. It's a beautiful country with friendly, wonderful people.

The fabric is pretty and I think I would do a large block that wouldn't cut it up too much.

I agree with others. I would use it as a panel and piece around, pulling some of the colors in the flowers.
