Well I just signed up for the International Mystery series at my LQS. Anybody done one of these before. Am I going to have as much fun as I think I am? I can't wait to get started. I am ready to have Christmas done and behind me so I can get on to something else.

It's a mystery quilt every month. We have our choice of 2 colorways. For our first month in January we are "going" to Belgium. We have our choice of Belgium chocolate and another (can't remember). We get a "passport" each month and the fabric. We don't know that pattern until we get there and don't know what it is going to look like until the end... February is Scotland...

Sounds interesting. If I had more time I would sign up, but I've already overcommitted myself for this next year.

they said that most of them should be about 38 X 42 or somewhere near that size, but that they all lend themselves to borders if you want to make them bigger.

This is what the description that was posted in my LQS newsletter.

"embark on a quilter’s tour of the globe. Let us be your guide as we take you to exciting countries around the world and create a quilt at each stop (each month). All you need to do is pack your bag-your sewing bag that is (and tools) and we’ll do the rest. The total package includes you personal tour guide (Shannon Caldwell), travel voucher (instructions) , custom thread (fabric kit),
lodging (our classroom), and food. We will even provide you with a passport. A daytime and evening class will be available. Our first stop will be in Belgium."
