    Yep.
They reproduce the old Singers too. The new treadle Singers aren't so good from what I've read of reviews, but I'd think a Janome would be ok!

You need to buy or own a treadle base to put it in.

That's really nice, I assume they decided to cater to the Amish quilters. (or those that love treadle)

In my search for a good antique treadle I was talking to my trusted sewing manchine repair guy, asking if he ever got a great antique treadle on trade to give me a call. Well, we then got discussing a new treadle machine. ... He was quite clear in telling me to stear clear of the new treadles ... and spend the time looking on Craigs list or Estate sales for the real antiques . He said "those antiques will last anther lifetime... the new ones ..lots of plastic parts" and "not worth any $$ if you really want to do serious sewing. "
I value his opinion since he often gives me "extras" at no cost like extra bobbin cases or bobbins for my vintage Singer when he comes across them and does not look for payment just a happy customer.

    That's wild!!
Overstock sells everything you can think of. I bought some nice rulers there for a great price and cheapo shipping.

Many of the Mennonites in our area use this machine and seem to really like it. They are even using them to make custom quilts for their quilting business. One lady I visited this spring was stitching overalls and farm clothes and the machine was just fine at handling heavier materials.
