Your husband did a great job painting your machine and I love the floral decals he found for it. The idea to set up a bicycle brake handle to work the speed controller was brilliant. I'm filing that idea away for future use.

I am having sooooo much fun with this set up. This Singer model 66 (1929) is absolutely awesome. I am just about to complete my 2nd baby quilt and I am so proud of it. I will post a picture as soon as I am done. Thanks for all the kind remarks.

When I first learned how to free-motion on a long arm, I was so discouraged! I could see every flaw, every crooked line, everything wrong! The nice man I bought it from (I'll confess...it was a Gammill) asked me what I was quilting on. Before I could answer, he said, let me guess....muslin and black thread. Correct. He said "stop doing that! Use good fabric (even to practice) and MATCHING thread. Made a world of difference. Never forgot that.

I have just completed my second baby quilt on my new set up. I promised I would share it with you. I am not a fancy person. This quilting would work out well for any of my baby quilts. I am going to work on a new one making a design like this only a little larger and using a varigated thread. I am showing a picture of the back of the quilt.
Would love to know what you think of it.
