My cheapy iron died on me a few days ago, it was about $20 new can't remember what brand. It last for about 5 years. It worked great for me. I'm also one of those that doesn't use water in my iron i use a spray bottle, so because of that I just ordered the "Dry Iron" from the Vermont Store. It has a smooth sole plate which I really like. I had read a thread on the QB awhile ago and some of the women recommended this iron. It's $29.95. Can't wait to get it and try it out!
