Default Isacord polyester thread

I've recently learned that this thread is really good and easy to FMQ with instead of cotton. Any opinions? This thread is Leah Day's favorite and she uses it all the time.

It's a matter of if you prefer natural fibers or not. I use Isacord for embroidering, but like cotton thread on on my cotton quilts. You'll have to see what you prefer.

I have an embroidery machine and have tried various brands of poly including Isacord for my quilting. I keep going back to cotton. As Candace mentioned, it's a personal preference, i would purchase a spool and try it, you might love it!

I love Isacord and use it for almost everything, but I also love to add King Tut to quilts. Superior Threads also has a new poly blended that is great. Some machines don't like Isacord as well because it naturally has a higher tension. It will last longer than cotton threads. Also, it is not true that it will cut cotton fabric.

I use Isacord for everything but piecing. I also like to quilt with Connecting Threads Essential if I want the thread to show up more. (Remember, most of Leah Day's designs use a lot of heavy traveling- so she wants a thread that won't build up with that.)

It's a good thread. When I find a sale I buy it. I quilt and piece with all types of thread. I'm not partial to any one brand but it has to be good thread. I have Aurifil, Superior, YLI, Guttermann, Sulky, Invisifill, Isacord, Glide, Connecting Threads, silk thread, DMC, Star, Signature, American Thread Co, RA, and Coats and Clark. Probably other brands too. I will probably never run out of thread.

I use Isacord thread exclusively, I have the Pfaff Hobby Quilter and it is the only thread that does not break on me. I love it!!
