What exactly is a serger. I have seen them in stores, but don't know what they do.

I would love to have some Koala furniture, but one thing at a time I guess. Maybe some day down the road, for now I guess I should be thankful for what I have.

A serger has been used for basic finishing of seams for garment making but in the last few years several other uses has emerged. There are now more stitches to select from and craft use has shown a whole new side to serging. I've seen crazy quilts made with only using a serger.
